Na początku muszę zadać Ci pytanie, czy wiesz, kto może zostać podopiecznym naszej fundacji? Jeśli nie, to już wyjaśniam. Mówi o tym nasz regulamin i statut. Albowiem naszym Marzycielem może zostać dziecko, które w momencie zgłoszenia do fundacji, ma od 3 do 18 lat i cierpi na chorobę zagrażającą życiu. Ktoś zapytał mnie kiedyś: „Skąd bierzecie dzieci?” Wówczas pytanie to wydawało się dla mnie niezrozumiałe. Dziś doszłam jednak do wniosku, że niezrozumiałym jest jednak to, jak pracujemy i jak działamy. Już wyjaśniam po kolei. Kandydata na podopiecznego naszej fundacji może zgłosić KAŻDY na stronie fundacji Mam Marzenie lub wypełniając ankietę zgłoszeniową w formie pisemnej i wręczając ją jednemu z wolontariuszy. Odpowiadając na pytanie… Nie bierzemy dzieci znikąd. To one same lub za pośrednictwem Dobrej Duszyczki przychodzą do nas. Taką Dobrą Duszyczką może być:

• rodzic lub opiekun prawny; 
• samo dziecko;
• lekarz prowadzący; 
• pielęgniarka; 
• pracownik socjalny; 
• psycholog pracujący z dzieckiem; 
• wolontariusz FMM; 
• rodzina lub nawet sąsiedzi dziecka.

Jak widać, może to być naprawdę KAŻDY. Znasz dziecko, które choruje na chorobę zagrażającą jego zdrowiu lub/i życiu? Zgłoś go do naszej fundacji wypełniając ANKIETĘ ZGŁOSZENIOWĄ.

Przedstawię teraz w skrócie jak wygląda cały proces „rekrutacji” Marzyciela w naszej fundacji:

1. Znasz dziecko, które według Ciebie spełnia kryteria naszej fundacji? Uzupełnij ankietę zgłoszeniową i prześlij ją nam.
2. Ankieta trafia do odpowiedniego oddziału naszej fundacji.
3. Kiedy dostaniemy ankietę, lekarz współpracujący z naszą fundacją zapoznaje się z dokumentacją medyczną dziecka w celu podpisania tzw. ewaluacji medycznej „A”. Jest to zgoda lekarza na udział dziecka w naszej fundacji. Gdy odpowiedź jest pozytywna, dokument wraca do oddziału fundacji.
4. Na następnym spotkaniu Koordynator oddziału wybiera wolontariusza, któremu dany Marzyciel będzie przypisany. Nazywamy go wolontariuszem prowadzącym.
5. Wolontariusz jest zobligowany do kontaktu z rodzicami lub opiekunami prawnymi Marzyciela i ustalenie terminu spotkania w możliwie najbliższym czasie.

Pragnę jednocześnie dodać, że dane medyczne dziecka objęte są ścisłą tajemnicą i nie zostają ujawnione poza fundacją. Zdarzają się jednak od tego wyjątki, kiedy sponsor lub osoba zaangażowana w realizację marzenia pyta nas bezpośrednio o chorobę dziecka. Możemy ujawnić wówczas chorobę dziecka. Potrzebujemy jednak wtedy zgodę Koordynatora oddziału, a przede wszystkim rodziców lub opiekunów prawnych dziecka oraz zgodę samego Marzyciela.

Pomóż nam zrealizować nasze marzenie i usłyszeć MAM MARZENIE. Na co możemy jedynie odpowiedzieć jednogłośnie… „Twoje życzenie jest dla mnie rozkazem!”

At the beginning I would like to ask you, if you know who can become our Dreamer? If not and you want to find out, then read it. Our rules and statute says clearly, that our Dreamer could be a child, between 3 and 18 years old (at the moment of sending documents) and her/his illness imperils his/hers live. Someone asked me once: “From where do you get your kids?” When I’d heard this question it sounded weird and incomprehensible. Today, I changed my mind, and decided, that the incomprehension is a result of no knowledge about how this foundation works. I would like to tell you this from the beginning. The candidate for a Dreamer can be proposed by everyone on the FMM site or you can also fill out the documents by hand and give them to one of the volunteers. But answering to previous question… We don’t get kids from anywhere. They (by themselves or by a Fairy) come to us. And by the Fairy I mean:

• a child himself/herself;
• a parent or legal responsible person;
• an attending doctor;
• a nurse;
• a social worker;
• a psychologist working with the child;
• a FMM volunteer; 
• a family or neighbors of the child.

As you can see, it can be really anyone. Do you know a child, who’s sick, and his/hers illness is threatening his/hers health and/or life? Please notify us about this child by filling out the taking part survey.

I would like to introduce you to the Dreamer’s approval process in our foundation:

1. Do you know a child, who according to you makes the criteria of our foundation? Please fill out the taking part survey and send it to us.
2. This survey shows up at the adequate branch office of our foundation.
3. When it is brought to us, the doctor, who is working with FMM is informed about medical data of an eventual Dreamer. The doctor has to agree at the beginning for participating, by signing the medical evaluation “A”.
4. At the next meeting the Coordinator of the branch is supposed to give the documents to one of the volunteers. We call this person the leader volunteer. 
5. This volunteer is obligated to contact the parents or legal responsible person and make an appointment with them and the child himself/herself at the nearest possible time.

I would like to add also, that all medical data is covered by professional secrecy and can not be announced to anyone besides foundation itself. There are some exceptions, when the sponsor or someone, who works with us in order to fulfill the child’s dream, asks us directly about the illness. Nevertheless it can be announced only with the approval of coordinator of our branch and the most important decision belongs to the Dreamer and his/hers parents or legal responsible person.

Please, help us fulfill our dream and let us hear I HAVE A DREAM. And then, we can only respond…. “Your wish is my commend!”

Zacznijmy od początku... / Let's start from the beginning...

"Mam marzenie, fantazję, z pomocą których przejdę przez rzeczywistość..." śpiewał zespół ABBA na przełomie lat 70-tych i 80-tych. Piosenka ta jest ponadczasowa. Mam marzenie, a ty? Jeśli tak, to miejsce właśnie dla Ciebie. Mam Marzenie to nazwa fundacji, w której jestem od niedawna wolontariuszką. Wiele osób, kiedy wspominam o tej fundacji pyta mnie, czym się zajmujemy. Kiedy z moich ust pada: "Pomagamy chorym dzieciom odzyskać nadzieję, spełniając ich marzenia.", słyszę: "Ale jak sobie radzisz z widokiem chorych dzieci?". Okazuje się bowiem, że nie wszyscy wiedzą, czym tak naprawdę zajmuje się ta fundacja. Moim marzeniem jest, aby przedstawić Ci wolontariat od  tej pozytywnej strony. Nie tylko ten w fundacji MM, ale również mój drugi wolontariat - wolontariat pedagogiczny. Chciałabym przybliżyć Ci ideę wolontariatu i tego, czym tak naprawdę się zajmujemy. Życzę miłej lektury. Zapraszam do znalezienia chwili w swoim życiu na wolontariat. Czasami wystarczy jeden uśmiech, aby zmienić czyjeś życie...

Wśród moich przyjaciół i znajomych jest wiele osób niemówiących po polsku, dlatego pozwolę sobie na napisanie również paru zdań po angielsku.

Among of my friends and colleagues there are some, who don't speak Polish, so I decided to write this blog also into English. Since English isn't my mother tongue, please forgive me my mistakes. "I have a dream, a fantasy, to help me through reality..." sang ABBA at the turn of the seventies and eighties. It turns out, that this song is timeless. "I have a dream, don't you? If the answer is yes, this is the right place for you. "I have a dream" is the name of the foundation, where I am a volunteer since not long ago. I think, that people around the world know this as "Make a wish" foundation, because it was based on this organization. A lot of people ask me, what do we do. The answer is that we help sick kids, by giving them hope, through fulfilling their dreams. Unfortunately I hear very often question like "how do you survive the appear of ill kids?" As it turns out not everybody knows what do we really do. I have a dream to show you how it works in real life and tell you the positive sides of being a volunteer. Not only at "I have a dream" foundation, but also from the other volunteer work I do. I am also a volunteer at educational volunteering. Our task there is to help younger kids with their homework and everything else connected with their school. I would like to introduce you to our world. Have a nice time reading this story of my life and remember. "Sometimes one smile is enough to change somebody's life."
